I have installed 2.0.1 and when I open GA an error message comes up saying the application needs a newer version of the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device. Can you advise what I need to do.

My phone is the original XDA Mini Pocket PC.

I have installed GA fine on similar devices without any problems. I think you should uninstall GA and any other gurbani searcher you may have, as im sure sttm gurbani searcher used some sort of .net framework.

I would then install the latest version of GA which is version 2.0.2

I have done the above, however it still comes up with the same message...

If anybody experiences the same problem and then finds a fix please be sure to post the solution here!!

Sorry for my late response. I have added the file "NetCFCfg.exe" to the download page, which you can use to determine which version of the .NET framework you have on your device.

I do not have details about your device, os or cpu. So i have only uploaded the utility that is supported on devices with an ARM processor. If this doesn't work on your device, then post a reply with your CPU information and i will upload the corresponding version.

Simply extract the file from the .zip file, and copy over to your device. Then using the File Explorer on your mobile device, click on the file and use the utlity to confirm what version of the framework you have installed.

I have downlaoded the above and I have seen that my >net Compact Framework Version is 1.0.4292.0. Question is how to proceed from here as I still can't open the software without the newer version of >net Compact Framework.

I have the HTC S620. Thanks for all your help- this is really a great site.

I had the same problem as well on one of my PDA's. I installed a newer version of .net framework and that solves the problem. So you can also try that.

Get a .cab file of this framework and install it on your phone. The.Net Framework link is

I have tried to download from the above site but it downloads as a .msi file so tried for hours to convert to a .cab file but couldn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hook up your phone to the computer and run that msi will produce the proper result.
