WaahigurooJeeKaaKhaalsaa, WaahigurooJeeKeeFateh

This likely doesn't have to do with the program itself, but do you know why my default font has changed to Raavi when using Google Maps on my phone? Well, because GMaps doesn't seem to support the font, all I get are boxes, but all of the keys in my registry settings still say Tahoma is my default font.

I've seen this issue crop up with other devices, but it's the first time it's happened on mine: Bell Mobility HTC Touch Diamond (more details below). I've installed other fonts before and even BaniTranslationTool, and other programs have never been affected.

Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro
CE OS 5.2.19972 (Build 19972.1.2.7)

Thanks

We havent had any reports of this issue as yet, maybe you can try removing any third party gurbani tools and fonts and see what happens.

Thanks

This issue is a windows mobile issue, and has been around for many many years. I also experienced this on install, and I even mentioned it in the last picture of my review on my blog.

The fix is to go into the registry and reset the default font to w/e it you want (most likely Tahoma)

Fire up your registry editor and change the following keys to "Tahoma" (without the quotes) it's possible the keys allready say Tahoma, but just edit the value to say Tahoma again and save.

Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\SysFnt and find the key "Nm" and set to Tahoma

Browse to HKLM\SYSTEM\GWE\Menu\Menufnt\Barfnt find "Nm" and set to Tahoma

Browse to HKLM\SYSTEM\GWE\Menu\Menufnt\Popfnt find "Nm" and set to Tahoma

Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MAHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\FontAlias and set to Tahoma

Soft reset your device and all should be good.

Ah, even though the first thing I did was hit up XDA-developers and do that very thing, I didn't realise that even though all the values said Tahoma, I just had to re-save them.

Thanks, brudda.

I am getting this same issue with fonts changing in other applications, I have tried changing registry values as shown in the guide but it does not change anything.

I am using a HTC HD2/Leo WM6.5 !

Gurfateh Ji

This iss can easily be fixed if you just remove the GURAKHAR font from /Windows/Fonts, GA will continue to work fine with just one font. This is documented on our FAQ.

Kind regards
